Sławomir Fabicki is a director and screenwriter born in 1970. A member of the Polish Film Academy and the European Film Academy. Lecturer at Wajda School and Gdynia Film School. His graduation film A Man Thing received numerous awards at festivals worldwide and in 2002 was nominated for an Academy Award. His feature film debut Retrieval received a special Ecumenical Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006 and was nominated to the European Film Academy Award. It was the Polish submission for an Oscar, having wide distribution in United States. Love (2012) received dozens of awards at festivals worldwide, and Anxiety (2023) received the Audience Award at Warsaw Film Festival and OFF CAMERA.
