Jacek Poniedziałek is a theatre and film actor since 2008 associated with the Nowy Teatr in Warsaw. He graduated from the Acting Faculty at Ludwig Solski Academy for the Dramatic Arts in Kraków. Since 1990 a frequent collaborator of Krzysztof Warlikowski. He performed on stages of Warsaw theatres, including the National Theatre, the Studio Theatre and the Rozmaitości Theatre. He directed around ten plays, e.g. The Glass Menagerie, Osama the Hero, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Among his main fields of interest are translating (e.g. plays directed by Krzysztof Warlikowski from English) and adapting. He recently played major roles in movies Heart of Love, All Our Fears, Ether, Salt Lake, Mexican production El hoyo en la cerca and Television Theatre plays. In 2021 he published a book titled (nie)Dziennik. Winner of many prestigious awards and the recipient of the Silver Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis.
