Sally Perel, born into a Jewish family in Saxony, emigrates with his relatives to Poland to escape fascist persecution. When the Nazi occupation starts, his parents send him and his brother further east. Sally ends up in an orphanage, falls under the influence of communist indoctrination, and joins the Komsomol. Deemed a ‘pure Aryan’, he later falls into German hands. Determined to survive, Sally tries to conceal the truth about himself at all costs.

A series of mysterious killings follows the arrival of a stranger in a Kashubian fishing village. For the local chief of police, it is a perfect opportunity to solve a mystery case he has always dreamed of. He sets off in pursuit of the murderer with his assistant – the eponymous Gałuszko.

Inspired by real events, the play explores the dire situation of adolescent patients in psychiatric wards in Poland. A young drama facilitator leads a series of sessions with three teenagers receiving treatment in a hospital. During these sessions, shocking details about their lives come to light – details that not even their doctors were aware of.
