Based on screenplay by Andrzej Wajda and Monika Kotowska,
shooting script by Andrzej Wajda.

Attempt at the creative reconstruction of a non-existent movie. The basis for the script for the performative reading of We Are Alone in the World is the screenplay by Andrzej Wajda and Monika Kotowska. Raw, almost naturalistic, fragmented narration was supplemented with a plotline from Wajda’s shooting script as well as new scenes written by Michał Zdunik. The story’s conclusion brings to mind Ashes and Diamonds on which the director worked right after abandoning We Are Alone in the World.
From his notes we know that the first draft was rejected by the Central Script Committee. Many additional changes would have been made by him during the editing process. Would the final product be any similar to the story we are going to show?
