The Danuta Baduszkowa Musical Theatre has for many years served as the festival venue and is one of the most important locations for the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. It is here, on three stages – the Large Stage, the New Stage and the Chamber Stage – that a large part of the festival programme takes place. These include, first and foremost, gala screenings of competition films attended by the filmmakers, as well as meetings between film crews and audiences, other accompanying events, and the Awards and Festival Closing Ceremony.
The theatre also serves as a venue for numerous industry and networking meetings. The Foreign Guests Office is based here. The foyer of the Large Stage, which is accessible only to accredited guests, serves as a venue for the Festival’s most important sponsors, partners and patrons, who can showcase their activities to festival guests in areas set aside specifically for them.
The Musical Theatre also plays a key organisational role in the festival. The building houses the Festival front desk, where guests collect their accreditation and welcome packs, as well as the Festival box office.
