Manfred – an office worker – feels that he’s not cut out for the job. He’s especially disgusted by the constant rush of many people and the everlasting necessity to use sharp elbows in order to acquire a professional and social position at the expense of others. Manfred is a traditional guy who values reliability over pugnacity. He decides to write a petition to his boss where he asks for a transfer to a different department. As an old school, he does it on an old typewriter. Now, there’s nothing left but to face the boss, yet Manfred feels intimidated.
