Merry Christmas – Polish Film Festival

Sometime before Christmas, Mak (an Afro-American) knocks the door of a little town community center. The chairman and instructors make a feast in his honor and give him money and presents. It’s not a regular hospitality, though. The community center expects an EU delegation which will decide its fate. Mrs. Krysia, a local alienated artist, is the only one who doesn’t do anything to please Mak, but her sculptures catch the boy’s attention. He finds them really valuable and soon they develop understanding. The story complicates when it turns out that the real commission is yet to come. If so, then who’s the mysterious black visitor? The grotesque comedy portrays Polish idea of European Union and “Union’s” idea about Poland.
