Eden

In the European Union borderland, seventeen-year-old Mila vegetates in the shadow of her smuggling family. Numbers of contraband cigarettes and bottles of vodka measure her existence. Tired of her walking-dead life, she wants to end it. Far from everyone, Mila tries to gas herself to death in a car deep in the woods. Things get complicated when her passage to a better world is brought to a halt by a Syrian refugee. Unlike her, the young, resilient man won’t give up on life without a fight. The film is a directing debut.
