Laureaci – Polish Film Festival

The winners of the Golden and Silver Lions, the Main Competition individual awards, and the winners of the Microbudget Film Competition and the Short Film Competition, have been revealed at the Closing Gala of the 48th Polish Film Festival on Saturday, 23rdSeptember 2023 in the Musical Theatre in Gdynia.   Jury of the 48th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, comprised of:

  granted the following awards:  

• The GRAND PRIZE – GOLDEN LIONS of the 48th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia for best film SCARBORN went to director PAWEŁ MAŚLONA and producers LESZEK BODZAK, ANETA HICKINBOTHAM
• The SILVER LIONS of the 48th Polish Film Festival for the film IMAGOwent to director OLGA CHAJDAS and producers IZABELA WÓJCIK, VIOLETTA KAMIŃSKA, DARIUSZ JABŁOŃSKI.
• The GOLDEN CLAW of the 48th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia for the boldness of form and content in the Visions Apart category for the film NEXT TO NOTHING, went to director GRZEGORZ DĘBOWSKI and producers EWA JASTRZĘBSKA, JERZY KAPUŚCIŃSKI, JACEK BROMSKI
• The Platinum Lions for lifetime achievements went to set designer Allan Starski

• JAN HOLOUBEK for directing the film DOPPELGÄNGER. THE DOUBLE
• GRZEGORZ DĘBOWSKI for screenplay for the film NEXT TO NOTHING
• GRZEGORZ DĘBOWSKI for directing debut for the film NEXT TO NOTHING
• BARTŁOMIEJ KACZMAREK for cinematography for the film DOPPELGÄNGER. THE DOUBLE
• ANDRZEJ SMOLIK for music for the film IMAGO
• MAREK WARSZEWSKI for art direction for the film DOPPELGÄNGER. THE DOUBLE
• MARCIN LENARCZYK for sound for the film DREAMS FULL OF SMOKE
• PIOTR KMIECIK for editing the film SCARBORN
• ANETA BRZOZOWSKA for make up for the film SCARBORN
• WERONIKA ORLIŃSKA for costume design for the film DOPPELGÄNGER. THE DOUBLE

• Special Award for directors DK WELCHMAN and HUGH WELCHMAN for unique film form in the film THE PEASANTS

 

• Audience Award granted by the audience voting in Festival cinemas went to directors DK WELCHMAN and HUGH WELCHMAN for the film THE PEASANTS

  The winners of the other two competitions have also been announced at the Closing Gala of the 48th PFF.   Microbudget Film Competition Jury comprised of:

  having seen the 4 films qualified for the Microbudget Film Competition, granted the following awards:  

• AWARD FOR BEST FILM IN THE MICROBUDGET FILM COMPETITION KLAUDIUSZ CHROSTOWSKI for directing the film ULTIMA THULE

 

• SPECIAL MENTION PIOTR BIEDROŃ for directing the film THE LAST SPARK OF HOPE
