These Damn Peonies – Polish Film Festival

Rita is twenty-four years old and has never had an orgasm. All she remembers from her first sexual experience is disappointment and a kitschy painting of peonies hanging on the wall before an old sofa creaking beneath her. Since then, she has had bad associations with sex and flowers. But the young woman is adamant about changing that before her 25th birthday next month. The day is coming up, but orgasm is not. Surprisingly, Rita will find what she wants when and where she least expects it. The film is a directing debut.
