Sanatorium under the Sign of the Hourglass

The film is an adaptation of a book by Bruno Schulz. Józef visits his father in a mysterious sanatorium in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains. The father is dead, but the sanatorium clocks have been turned back. Doctor Gerard explains to Józef that it is a special way of caring for the dead — to keep them believing they are still alive. At this sanatorium, their lives are not over yet. They still have time.
