It is more than just a business – it is her element, her calling and what gives meaning to her everyday life. Thanks to her, the smokehouse has become a local legend, and Miecia herself a larger-than-life figure. To many locals, she is more than a neighbour or a boss – she is the true Queen of Łeba, with a personality as sharp as the smoke from her smokehouse fire. But even the strongest have to stop sometimes. As her health begins to take its toll, Miecia faces a difficult question: how can she find herself beyond the work that has been her whole life for so many years?
