As it does every year during the Polish Film Festival, the Polish Society for Film and Media Studies will present the Book of the Year award.
The Polish Society for Film and Media Studies (PTBFM) Award for Best Book of the Year and Debut of the Year is an annual competition recognising the best Polish academic monographs in the fields of film studies and media studies. The award is presented in two categories: the Main Prize (Best Book of the Year) and Debut of the Year (for authors publishing their first monograph). It covers monographs published in Polish in the year preceding the award ceremony. The winners are selected by a jury following a vote by the society’s members. The Book of the Year and Debut of the Year awards will be presented on 23rd September at the GCF Gallery.
