NATIONAL FILM ARCHIVE – AUDIOVISUAL INSTITUTE DEBATE: LET’S PLAY IT AGAIN: THE POPULARITY OF CLASSIC CINEMA
A discussion devoted to the reasons behind the growing interest in classic cinema and strategies for presenting classic films to contemporary audiences: at film festivals, in theatrical distribution and on streaming platforms, as well as through publishing, curatorial and film criticism projects.The panel will conclude with a presentation of the framework and application process for a new scholarship programme for film critics, organised by FINA with the support of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.Film distributors, audiovisual publishers, film festival programmers, curators and film critics, as well as representatives of FINA will participate in the debate.
