During the 51st PFF in Gdynia, join us for extraordinary tours of the Modernist Centre, in July 2026 added to the UNESCO World Heritage List, and the newly created Gdynia Film Route.

Gdynia is an exceptional example of a modern city designed predominantly in a spirit of Modernism. In a short time, during  the inter-war period, a port city centre was born with a truly bold architecture, impressive in its functionality, and unique relationship to the sea. The fact that the Modernist Centre was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List solidifies its unique position on a global scale. Those are more than buildings – they tell a story about the city, its citizens, and the dream of modern Poland.

Experience the city where the modernism meets the sea, the history meets the modernity, and architecture is part of everyday life.

During the tours, we will visit the interiors of twenty-one pearls of Modernism, discovering their details, functional and artistic choices, meeting with the creators that shaped Gdynia’s unique rhythm and scope.

The tours will be lead by Arkadiusz Brzęczek, a Gdynia-born
researcher, the author of publications about the city, an expert
and enthusiast of modernist architecture. Tours will start at 11:00
a.m. every day from 22nd to 26th September at the entrance to
the Gdynia Film Centre.
