Steps away from the Gdynia Film Centre, you’ll meet the Papaya Films crew at TŁOK café. Drop by between screenings for a coffee, a chat about your next project, or just to swap inspirations and instagrams. We pour batch brew, give away Papaya Films merch, and have a few events lined up.

The 51^st Polish Film Festival will welcome the unique ‘Gdynia Centenary Crew’! Two sailors will set off on a festival cruise to find out just how much of Gdynia its visitors have in them. There’ll be quizzes, challenges, fun facts, selfies with #GDYNIA100 and prizes. It’ll be all about films, the sea and a touch of humour – because in Gdynia, it all began with the sea!

Keep an eye out for the sailors at Grunwaldzki Square from 22^nd to 25^th September between 3.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m., and on 26^th September between 12.00 p.m. and 2.00 p.m.

Kino Polska once again provides the participants with free bicycles
to travel around the festival grounds.

There are two bicycle stations: by the Gdynia Film Centre (Grunwaldzki Square 1) and by the entrance to Riviera Shopping Centre (Kazimierza Górskiego 2) Stations are open from Monday to Friday (21^st–25^th September) 8.30 a.m.–8.00 p.m. and on Saturday (26^th September) 8.30 a.m.–6.00 p.m.

Bicycles are available free of charge for Festival attendees with accreditations and cinema tickets (with the Festival logo) To hire a bike, present your accreditation and give the station staff your telephone number. Bicycle helmets will be available for hire free of charge. 

The brand Dr Irena Eris has been working with the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia for ten years. It not only presents The Bravest Look Award – honouring filmmakers for the most courageous, sensitive, and beautifully told stories – but also actively contributes to the unique atmosphere of the event. As a Festival Partner, Dr Irena Eris supports the Creators’ Room, a meeting place for artists, partners, and media representatives, providing a space for open and inspiring conversations about film art.

At the core of Dr Irena Eris’s involvement is the backstage preparation of the stars. Behind the scenes, experts provide professional make-up and skincare, supporting artists before debates, formal meeting, and appearances on the red carpet. In this way, Dr Irena Eris not only emphasises the Festival’s status as the most important celebration of Polish cinema, but also contributes to its distinctive aesthetics and atmosphere. In addition, Dr Irena Eris often supports make-up departments on film sets. This year, it partnered with a couple of films in the Main Competition, e.g. Paweł Pawlikowski’s Fatherland, Agnieszka Smoczyńska’s Hot Spot and Karolina Bielawska’s Violetta Villas.
