The main character, a famous director of erotic films, is dressed for his funeral. In an internal monologue, he sums up the forty years of his life: “Dammit, nothing funny ever happened to me!”. He recalls his time on Earth as a series of failures and unfortu-nate events. Even his death was grotesque, as he died of fear when his wife and daughter faked chopping his head off with the child’s welly.
