The 51st Polish Film Festival in Gdynia features premiere screenings, meetings with filmmakers and numerous industry events. But it is also a space for discussion and the exchange of ideas, and a forum for commenting on developments in Polish cinema.

One such place is the pages of the festival newspaper, which has been published since the very beginning of the PFF. This year, the newspaper is undergoing a transformation and will be published in a new, revamped format – online and in print – and you too can be part of this change!

We are looking for people to join our editorial team – both those with experience in film criticism, writing and editing, and passionate cinema enthusiasts who would like to gain such experience.

We offer:

  • work with experienced, professional journalists during the 51st PFF
  • the opportunity to have your writing (articles, essays, interviews) published in both the print and online editions of the festival newspaper
  • MEDIA accreditation, granting access to film screenings at the 51st PFF
  • remuneration for your writing

Applications are open, but candidates must be aged 18 or over (there is no upper age limit). To take part, please send a short biography and an original text (published or unpublished, maximum length: up to 8,000 characters including spaces) on the subject of Polish cinema to: m.demski@festiwalgdynia.pl. The recruitment period runs until 20th August. Once the recruitment process has concluded, we will contact the selected candidates.
