In July, the ‘50 for 51’ project will be all about self-reflection, classic films and genre cinema! We’ll be visiting Sucha Beskidzka, Pszczew, Bydgoszcz, Toruń, Kraków, Sopot, Rzeszów, Katowice and Szczecin. We’ll move from Childish Questions to the big issues thanks to the films of Janusz Zaorski. We’ll give a voice to both newcomers and established filmmakers. We’ll discover the different facets of Aleksandra Konieczna and Agnieszka Smoczyńska.

There will be plenty of time for laughter through tears, as well as scope for Marcin Giżycki’s experimentation and imagination. The year 2026 has been designated the Year of Andrzej Wajda and Krzysztof Kieślowski. To mark the occasion, during the BellaTOFIFEST International Film Festival we’ll be taking a closer look at the actresses who starred in Wajda’s films, whilst in Pszczew we’ll be tracing the evolution of Kieślowski’s cinematic vision.
In June, we visited Sulęczyno, Smarzykowo, Pszczew, Jarocin, Toruń, Gdańsk, Poznań and Kraków. To mark the fact that 2026 is Krzysztof Kieślowski Year, no fewer than three institutions dedicated their events to him. We traced the director’s journey from documentary to fiction and examined his work through the prism of colour. Through films by young Polish filmmakers, we tried to answer the question of who we are when no one is watching, and we also discovered whether we are too old for fairy tales. There was no shortage – as the name suggests – of traces of June, namely the cinematic tales of Filip Bajon
