51st PFF without barriers – Polish Film Festival

We invite the producers of films selected for the competition sections of the 51^st Polish Film Festival in Gdynia to take part in the ‘51^st PFF Without Barriers’ project. Its aim is to improve the accessibility of Polish film productions for people with visual and hearing impairments, and to support producers in adapting their films to accessibility requirements. The project is run by the Pomeranian Film Foundation in Gdynia (the Festival’s organiser) with the support of the Polish Film Institute.

Producers may receive a refund of up to 50 per cent of the documented net costs incurred in carrying out:

• audio-description for a competition film,
• extended subtitles (SDH) for deaf and hard-of-hearing people.

Producers of competition films of the 51^st PFF can receive up to PLN 7,400 net in financial support for both purposes.

The costs may not be co-financed by other grant schemes, including the Polish Film Institute’s operational programmes.

Eligible to apply for funding are producers of films selected for the competitions at the 51^st  PFF:

• Perspectives Competition
• Short Film Competition
• Golden Lion Cubs

1. Complete the Application Form (Appendix 1 to the Regulations)
2. Enclose copies of the accounting documents confirming payment

Deadline for applications: 20 September 2026. The facilities must be ready for the 51^st PFF

The total budget for the project is PLN 80,000 net. Funding will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
