We now know the verdict of the Short Film Competition Jury at the 50th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. During the Young Gala on Friday, 26th September 2025, the winners of this year’s non-statutory awards were also announced. The Short Film Competition Jury, composed of: Kasia Adamik – Chairwoman Mirosław Baka Monika Majorek having watched 32 films qualified for the Short Film Competition, presented the following awards: The Lucjan Bokiniec Award for Best Short Film A financial award of PLN 15,000. The award is funded by the Festival Patron – Energa from the Orlen Group SLAP!!, dir. Mikołaj Piszczan Special Award A financial award of PLN 10,000 THE DYBBUK, dir. Maciej Tyburski Special Mention A financial award of PLN 2,500 PEOPLE & THINGS, dir. Damian Kosowski  Special Mention A financial award of PLN 2,500 DAD’S NOT HOME, dir. Jan Saczek Award for Best Cinematographer Production support of PLN 15,000 in the form of equipment rental – financed by Heliograf Szczepan Lewandowski the director of photography in the film DYING OF THE YOUNG DEER, dir.
